• " What a wonderful time we had! Met some great people and had a lot of laughs. Crew were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them,they even remembered your name after 2 days (and what you drank!!). Cruise director Nancy was full of information about all sorts of things. We stayed on board and continued through to Vienna on cruise WNV - Christmastime on the Danube, with the same crew just a change of cruise director, Isabel. Lunch was even provided for us on the changeover day, what a bonus, as it was very cold and wet outside in Nuremberg. Our singing captain & his crew entertainment special was a highlight of our trip, we laughed till we cried. Some very talented people on the Avalon Affinity. We did a cruise in 2007 with you, along the Rhine & the standards have improved if anything, will certainly be back to do another. "

• " My wife, sister-in-law and I have just completed the first tour of the season from Amsterdam to Budapest on MS Imagery and I feel compelled to advise how delighted we were with the river cruise. It met all of our expectations and again some. We need to compliment Avalon on the excellence of the vessel, its on-board staff at all levels and particularly our cruise director, Akos Szalay. MS Imagery was in peak condition and a delight to travel in. The facilities were first class and only exceeded by the excellence of the service and the friendly and helpful crew who quickly established themselves as friends. Nothing was too much trouble and it was indeed a pleasure to see them working together in harmony. Although there may be far more expensive river boat cruises than Avalon, I cannot see anyway in which other operators could surpass the excellence of your operation. We were particularly impressed with the quality of the food, the great variety of choices available at every meal and the generous beverage services provided at dinner. Similarly, our welcome back onboard each day with cool drinks and a warm reception from the crew enhanced our days. The program was excellent and the onboard entertainment exceptional. Please accept our hearty congratulations and thanks for the excellence of your service; and we wholeheartedly endorse your tag-line, "from here, it's another World". • " We recently completed the Grand tour of Egypt and cannot recommend both Avalon and the tour highly enough. We received a pocket sized colour travel book on Egypt which covered all the areas of our tour together with the Travel document booklet. This document included not only the itinerary, contact numbers for all hotels etc but also included tips on everything from packing, medications, weather, tipping to including a few words of arabic. It is the most professional itinerary we have seen. Our Egyptologist/Tour Director Sameh Taha. Sameh’s depth of knowledge and love of Egyptology lead us on a magical tour of discovery of the ancient Egyptians. His organisational skills and ability to “make things happen” ensured seamless hotel check-ins, boarding of the Royal Lilly, flight transfers and sightseeing. Sameh made our tour of Egypt all the more special. "

• " We have just returned to Perth after a marvellous Danube cruise from Budapest to Nuremberg/Prague and it is important to commend your company for the faultless experience we enjoyed. In every aspect our comfort and enjoyment was the priority. The entire tour exceeded our expectations and we thoughly enjoyed the friendliness, courtesy and efficiency of the entire crew and team. The Cruise Director, Hans Beckert left nothing to chance and attended to every possible detail. His personality and energy was a big factor in causing guests to mix right from the start. Of particular note was the care taken to ensure all on shore excursions were conducted well. Hans personally introduced the bus driver and guide before every excursion commenced. This way we felt Avalon was always in control. This contrasted to a later tour in that the actual operator of the tour was two steps removed from the original tour company with whom we had booked. Subsequently, we did not feel as comfortable (or as important!) as we did with Avalon. The tours were also less enjoyable. This has given us a good insight in the questions to ask before booking another tour. We cannot add anything other than our sincerest congratulations for the way you ran the river cruise. "

Alot of the place speaks for itself, but Sameh added another whole dimension. He is an absolute credit to Globus. On top of an already splendidly organised itinerary, Sameh took it to the next level. • " We flew to Budapest and stayed at the Sofitel. Budapest was surprising to say the least. There is just so much to see and do. From Budapest, we boarded the MS Poetry and experienced the most pleasurable part of our holiday. The Poetry was less than two years old and immaculate. The staff were great and the whole atmosphere was magic. Everyone should do this at least once in a lifetime and be well and truly spoilt. "
